nothing really special with my rig just 1600 rams.

edit: let me see if i can downclock my cpu to that level - 3.2GHz. wait, i just remembered . . .

op, try turning off power saving features in bios, put performance in windows to high and run the test again.

ok, i set my cpu to 3.2 and turned off HT but i still got a higher physics AND my graphics score pretty much unchanged . . .

hmmmm.

Thank you very much for all the assistance, I'm at work at the moment so I'll give that power saving setting a shot when I get home.

Yeah, it's the safer choice atm.

I would personally recommend you to go for a different brand indeed, my 290X PCS+ has Elpida memory and is affected by the same performance problem...
Unless I get some update/a solution from Powercolor quickly I will be returning my card for refund on Wednesday.

Well, my PCS+ 290Xs are at PowerColor right now (got there Friday) for RMA, so I'll update you guys on any progress.

Well I just cancelled my order from NCIX. I'll wait for a update from Powercolor or by from another vender when the next deal comes out this week. Not worth risking and then going through the hassle of RMA. We pay good money for these, they should just work. Newegg has a very high rating on these cards though.

I wonder if a lot of people are suffering from lower performing cards but don't notice or pay attention to what they "Should' be getting in benchmarks. Or very few are having performance issues and it's making seem worse than it actually is for those who do have issues.

My replacement card should arrive this week, hopefully with no issues as its immediately being sold anyways after I test it. Will be checking what bios the new card has in comparison to the retail card I got.

Ignorance is a bliss. I wouldn't really have minded it that much, but now im already trying to arrange for RMA as well.

I have too recently purchased a pcs+ and sadly my card is underperforming as well:(

I am wondering what the normal voltage level should be under load, mine drops to 11.5v at full load. Is there anyway we can manually bump the voltage up? (I'm not well versed in the field of pampering BIOS and voltage)

I don't think that's a problem if your wondering why it's dropping lower at load then idle. It's the same with overclocking a CPU and it goes to it's "boost" clock. CPU-Z shows the voltage drop at load, I can't remember the correct term but something to do with temperatures and conductivity I believe so less is needed for more essentially. That's partially what Load Line Calibration (LLC) addresses.

Hello Guys,

Just so you know here's the latest answer I've received from Raymond (Powercolor):

Hello Gregory,

Our analysis shows that there might be something wrong with the card itself. If possible submit a RMA with newegg, if you cannot, please submit a RMA with us and we will figure out what is going on.

Best Regards,
Raymond.

Appreciate the offer but as I explained to him I do not want to get through the hassle of RMA and will therefore proceed with the refund from the retailer.
