Yay! Both of the cards perform right (63.5fps - both vs 59.5fps - previous Valley EHD Single Card)! Plus, I kindly asked Raymond for Hynix, and I got Hynix yessir.gif

PM me if you want the bioses (don't want any wanderers out there messing up their cards on accident).

The only downside is that I have a bit more coil whine than before. Time to RMA again tongue.gif

One thing that I noticed is that Hynix behaves differently to Elpida when it's unstable. Elpida gave me black screens, while Hynix makes the screen look interlaced and shows vertical scanlines (progressively gets worse the longer it runs). Just imagine gaming at 640x480 on a 1080p monitor. That's basically what it looks like.

Edit: can you find the pun? biggrin.gif

I've noticed the same thing.

The only time i get Black Screens is if i overclock the memory to far, when that happens i have to go into safe mode and reset MSI AB because it loads up the unstable overclock every time i boot into windows and it black screens.

Well, it turns out it wan't the memory that was giving me the interlaced/low res effect. It was the core. I managed to get one of my 290Xs to 1190/1580, but the other one gets 1120/1630 (both +100mV core, +100mV PLL, +50% PowerTune). I was expecting the second one to do at least 1150 on the core (which resulted in the the screen problems), but sadly, it doesn't. Still performs great, though.

On unstable memory overclocks, I still get a black screen, but unlike Elpida, I'm able to ctrl+alt+del out of it.

Does anyone get any kind of artifacts after a month of use at default clock? I ask this because Schussnik's card displays red dot artifacts.
Yeah I really don't know what to do with the card anymore, sometimes it would run fine for hours while gaming sometimes it would crash after 5 minutes, or it would give me different kind of artifacts after a random amount of time,...

I'm now thinking of getting rid of the card and buying a Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X OC.
