Firestrike: 10596

All of the tests were done on 13.12 drivers

Should I try flashing the new BIOS?

Is that the actual firestrike score or the gpu score while running firestrike? Posting the link to your firestrike score would be best.

Both of the firestrike numbers are GPU scores

Get the revised bios then. I had almost the exact same score http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1859708 (10594 gpu). With the new bios it went up to http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1992019 (10956 gpu)

Is it the same for everyone or specific for the serial number

Not sure. Here is the post from Raymond.

"Hey Guys,

This is Raymond from PowerColor, we were contacted before about performance issue with a small batch of cards. We have a bios update now that fixes the performance issue. To get the bios update, please email me with the EAN code, Serial Number and Model number. Basically all the sticker number on the back of the card. The bios will be released on a per case basis, so please do not release it publicly as it might damage other graphic card. You can email me directly at Raymond.Hsu@powercolor.com.

Best Regards,
Raymond"

Hmm you issue seems to be more serious but quite similar to ours. I believe this is a more widespread issue than we think but most people didn't pick it up as the card is powerful enough

Have you sent your results to MSI?

One thing that seems odd I have noticed with my PCS+ is that it idles at 42-44C at stock speeds and fan profile, even with a slightly more aggressive fan profile it only drops 1-2C at idle. At 1150Mhz overclock with +100 voltage offset it idles at 45-46C and that is with 45% fan or so. Clock speeds and voltage appear to drop properly at idle, so not sure why it idles so high. Room is cool, 20C and I opened the side of the case (Corsair 540) to make that is not the issue. Load temps at stock clocks are in the 70-75C range. Same temps with OC, but the fan profile is more aggressive at about 70% speed at those temps.

Maybe your card isn't switching to 2D clocks during idle. A restart should fix it if that's the case.

Sadly this behavior stays the same even after restart.
