There are no stupid questions. I would have tried some different sticks, but I don't have any extra laying around to throw in. Plus the machine was working with that ram for 1 week outside of a case and 1 week inside of a case, not to say that the ram itself couldn't be the problem just less likely that it was especially with the fact that pci-e 1 stopped working but pci-e 2 worked then no pci-e worked and on board video didn't work ect.. ect.. it was just my time to give up the trouble shooting process before I launched it in the air and shot it out of the sky.

I had a horror story my last time thru .... all other experiences were positive.

Was a WS Board so it qualified for the "we send you a replacement before you need to shop back the broken one" deal....I put the RMA in around Halloween The new board arrived, took it outta the box and it was warped like a banana..... never seen that on an Asus board before.... looked like one of these Asrock boards from years ago. when laid on the standoffs, the I/P panel was missing the opening by 1/4 inch

Well now I had two of their boards and their RMA system didn't know how to handle it.... every time someone made an entry the system spit it out and wouldn't 'save" the request. I didn't wind up getting resolved till after XMas.

All other times went smooth a silk.

Question....does the M6F qualify for the expedited "we ship replacement first then you send old back" service ?

Asus customer support was so deceptive about it they never mentioned it. I asked about that and was told they will put a hold on my card for the full amount of the board and release it once my board is returned. I don't have an extra $300 just laying around for asus to sit on for a week or two so I went the normal route. But after I had already sent it out I was reading up on that process and found some people said they only got charged for the shipping no hold for the board. Shady already.

The WS falls under the ARS program, but that's only for the 1st year.
After the first year it is only eligible for the standard xship.

Regarding the confusion, IDK who you spoke with.

But Asus policy states only 1 active RMA for the product, meaning one of the boards has to be returned and the RMA closed before a 2nd RMA can be authorized.
The 2nd RMA would be processed as an AWT, this is the only circumstance when collateral in not necessary.

Has this been resolved or do you still need assistance?

Any board qualifies for advanced replacement, you have to provide collateral with an xship.
Unless it's an AWT like I mentioned earlier.

so what is advanced replacement and how do I take advantage of it now that I have shipped my motherboard? I have one idea what AWT is.

So you've already shipped the board under a regular RMA, it's going in for diagnosis/repair?

Advanced replacement, xship, cross ship are all the same.

2 conditions have to be met, availability and collateral.

And it has to have warranty left.

Not worth it. Like I said I don't have $300 for asus to sit on, and my board is only 5 weeks old, so it seems like this service should be offered at no charge like a ws especially considering its a $300 board.
