The WS xship still requires a CC hold, the main difference is TAT with server/ws boards.

So where do you stand now, still q-code A2?

You've probably realized by now that A2 means POST without signal to your monitor, basically you're at a screen that requires user action "no boot device found", or even your current boot device settings don't yada yada.

Does your monitor auto detect the output being used?

Monitor was auto detect, but I kept running through the sources on it just incase it was the monitor. I also tested it on another monitor to make sure it wasn't just that monitor. As well as tested it with multiple HDMI cables..

When everything was removed from the computer besides the essentials I began receiving ram error q codes no matter what dim slots I places it in.

I flashed it and put in the exact same settings I had before with no problems. Take that FWIW. I wasn't on an older BIOS because I didn't have any problems with the newer ones.

Let us know how the bios is!! I still haven't flashed to 0804 to check my OC on that bios. I might go to 0804 first unless I see some good feedback from you guys

I went back to 0804 and I haven't seen much of an improvement.

I'll give the new one a try when I get home tonight.

Hey all! was looking through the posts in this thread and thought I would join in! I'm making the switch from AMD back to Intel (had a bad experience with my first Intel build) my phenom ii is getting dated so I figured it was time to move onto bigger and better things biggrin.gif so I guess I'll start with my parts list before I drop a few questions on you guys.

CPU-Intel Core i7 4770k

Mobo-Asus Maximus vi Formula

Ram-G-Skill Trident-X 8gb 2400mhz

PSU-Corsair professional series HX750

GPU-2x Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce SLI.

SSD-Intel 530 series 120gb

HDD-2x WD Black 1TB in RAID-0 (games)
-2x WD Green 2TB (storage)

Cooling- Swiftech H220. And as many fans as I can fit in my case wink.gif

Case-Corsair graphite 600t.

aaand that's about it for now! I've noticed a few minor issues concerning fan speed control. just curious if I should run the fans for my h220 on the same header, I want to minimize fan noise as much as possible once I get it up and running, but I also want to be able to increase fan speed as needed of course. Also curious as to whether I should flash to the newest BIOS as soon as I'm finished building my rig? any and all input is welcome smile.gif I'll have pictures of my build once I get started on it this weekend!

That will be one glorious rig.

Personally I use fan expert (the Asus software). As long as your fans are less that 1 amp in total, you will have no problem whatever using the same header. If you want to maximise noise / performance ratio, replace the stock H100 fans with Noctua NF-F12s in push pull - (then you can run all 4 from the same header)

As for flashing, that's a contentious subject. If you do flash, don't do it from windows.

Thanks! smile.gif can't wait to get started on it. I do plan to replace the fans that come with the H220 and will be running it in a push/pull configuration, I appreciate the advice concerning running the fans off the same header. And if I do flash the BIOS I will be doing it from within the BIOS as I always have smile.gif just wasn't if there were any semi - important bug fixes with any of the newer BIOS updates.
