Asus stands by its construction, but if you are unsure there are other routes such as... http://rog.asus.com/285582013/news/ek-water-blocks-releases-new-maximus-vi-formula-water-block-kit/

it's all up to you and your pocket book to decide whats best for you.

This thread gave me good idea of the quality behind the crosschill block
http://rog.asus.com/262892013/maximus-motherboards/mixing-alu-and-cooper-is-fine-if-you-anodize-right/
Even in my regular loop I will use corrosion inhibitors, brass, nickle, copper, chrome, silver, and all the metals from radiators, blocks, and fittings I just rather be safe than sorry
It definitely seems to be a good quality anodized block, some members here at OCN gave some detailed information on their take (they worked in the field from what I understood) would be hard for me to dig up the postings
So far I can't complain about throwing my crosschill in the loop, however, when I end up upgrading this rig I am going to snag the EK blocks just so I can cool the full chipset
Thanks.
I've aways used pt nuke in my loop with straight distilled water, so it's good to know the anodising is holding up.
I've dye bombs but after about a month it breaks down*used a few years ago, before mayhems stuff hit the market*, I actually want to use rigid tubing and mayhems when I get a new rig together, should look sick.

Keep the awesome builds coming people!!!

Bumping this, as I have not received a reply.

Bottom line question: What temperatures are available/shown in aida64 for the AM6F?

Thanks

BIOS MONITOR TAB QUESTION (Temperatures)

I am unfamiliar with the ASUS Intel Boards, but use the AMD Sabertooth and Crosshair in two systems I've recently built.

My question is what temperature sensor readings (besides CPU temps) are available in the Maximus VI Formula BIOS (which should also be available via aida64 or OHM).

The Sabertooth monitors and reports CPU, NB, VCORE 1 & 2, RAM, Motherboard, USB, and several other temperatures.

To my surprise the Crosshair V Formula-Z only monitors and reports CPU and Motherboard temperatures.

I have read the BIOS section of all three manuals, but it is an unreliable source for what temperatures it states are monitored. As an example the manual for the Sabertooth only lists CPU and Motherboard temps but there are many more.

Thanks in advance for information.

ADDITION: I have also learned (a few minutes ago) that some sensors do not show up on the BIOS MONITOR screen, but are still available in aida64. Best example is that the Sabertooth BIOS MONITOR screen only shows CPU and Motherboard, but numerous sensors are available using aida64.

So I must modify my question to: What Temperature Sensors are available in aida64 on the Maximus VI Formula Motherboard?

First of all here is mine.

installed..

Ok and i have a question, do I need some special software for utilizing the supreme fx? I cant find anything aside from the audio drivers on the M6F support page on the Asus site. Secondly, where do I get the sonic radar tool?

The sonic radar can be turned on in the bios if I am not mistaken. I remember reading something about it in the owners manual towards the end.

Putting it through it's paces at the moment. Running 4.5GHz @ 1.3v. Doing the AIDA64 stability test she hasn't went above 70 20 minutes in.

EDIT: The computer is 'Nexus' in my sig. Looks like my CPU sweet spot is going to be 4.7GHz @ 1.3v. This H105 is doing well. I've blipped up to 73C here and there while stressing, but for the most part it's averaging 61C while stressing (AIDA64 Stability Test) and averaging 28C at idle.

Put it through a few short 30 minute tests until I started crashing at higher frequencies or lower voltages. So now I'm running a longer stress test with my 2133 XMP profile turned on for my RAM as well. 15 minutes into this one and running good so far.
