Remote Desktop software

Thread Starter
So im looking for a software to help me with this...

I manage about 200 remote machines, usually using either rdp, or VNC... Im looking for a software that i can save a list of machines per categories, and i can just click on its name and connect... Something like a phonebook for rpd/tightvnc..

Thanks

I use mRemoteNG (http://www.mremoteng.org/) where I work. Supports RDP, VNC, SSH, Telnet, etc.

Another vote for TeamViewer. You can create customized categories in the manner you described and they have great support. It's free for personal use - otherwise you have to buy a license. Great product, been using them for years.

At work we have Dameware & there are some other people that use Teamviewer as well. Dameware will tie itself into AD and you can make modifications to systems or users as well as remote in without needing a credential or person at the system. Not sure if you will need everything that it does but if you do any AD work its very helpful having it right there.

I have also used GoverLAN in the past and while it was a bit clunky (4 years ago) it had a very nice AD tie in. It made remote support nice and easy.
