OC Venice 3500

Thread Starter
Before I start overclocking this thing, I want to know its limits and what I should set each BIOS setting to. I have an AMD Athlon 64 Venice 3500+ LBBLE stepping. What is the highest voltage and highest load temps I should have? (air cooled by XP90). How does this sound: 250FSB, 11x multiplier, 1.5v? I know my RAM can reach at least 250mhz safely, so RAM will not limit me. I heard somewhere that these CPU's like a higher FSB but lower multiplier, is that right? Please give me some suggestions as I just switched from an Intel build. Thanks.

I have LBBLE 0519 EPBW and it does 2.6ghz with 1.45v, however after that it won't go much further even with 1.5 and 1.55v.

What do you have your FSB and multiplier at? I'm assuming 2.6ghz, not 1.6ghz correct?

Ahh yes, 2.6ghz, corrected that!
237fsb with 11x multi.

Have you tried 250FSB? Is your RAM limiting you or something? Also what should I set HT and HT multiplier to?

Im running mine 300x9 which gives me 2.7ghz at 1.5 volts , my stepping is NBBWE, 1.7 volts on the NB and 2.9 volts on the ram, ram is on a 133 divider but with my FSB being at 300mhz it brings my memory right back up to 200mhz ( or ddr400 ) 3-3-3-7 1T my HTT multi is at 3x.

Thanks guys. Why not 300x11?

that would be 3.3 ghz. i dont think that even with watercooling and the best stepping you can find for a 3500 you wouldnt hit that

Venice couldn't do that. A san diego probably could(not counting the 3700+)
