ASUS 7850 Graphical Artifacts Issue

Thread Starter
Hello everyone. I'm not sure if I'm writing in the right section here, but I purchased my 7850 back on Cyber Monday, ever since I've received my card I've experienced nothing but issues.

Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121651

The issue: If the clock speed of the card is set to the default settings (860) or above, I continue to see graphical artifacts when watching a single Youtube video or playing a game (such as Counter-Strike: GO)

Solutions:
I first tried by downgrading drivers and then tried once more with the latest (nothing out of this)

I then tried to contact Newegg about receiving a new card, but they said I would need all of the items that came with the order (box, cds, etc...), so I ruled it out of the question and moved on to the last resort, ASUS.

I contacted ASUS via email and phone and they told me I needed to RMA the card, so I did so explaining my issue in high detail. I waited the 2 weeks and finally received my card today.

Where I am:
The card I received back from ASUS was in the same exact condition... many graphical artifacts when I turn up the clock speed. I have no hope in ASUS anymore and doubt they will do anything more with my purchase (that is still under warranty).

Any comments or anything other possible solutions would be great! I want to be able to use my card to at least it's default capabilities.

I'd say you can try to RMA it again, and call them out on sending you back the same exact card without doing anything with it, or maybe there's an Asus rep who uses these forums that can help out?

Hey, I'm having similar issues... It's not as bad though, and it hasn't stopped me from using that card, same card by the way. I think it might have something to do with the power being supplied to it? Or maybe the ASUS cards are just cursed? Heh heh. Another minor detail, I also got mine during the Black Friday sales. I get random graphical artifacts at random times unrelated to anything specific, but they clear up usually. Occasionally the driver crashes and recovers. The artifacts are usually strange colored lines, or chunks of gray screen bars, then the whole screen goes grey bars... But it hasn't completely crashed, yet.. But would like to know why.

On Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: AMD A8-3870 Llano APU @ 3.0GHz, 4 cores
Motherboard: ASUS F1a55-M LX PLUS Micro ATX
RAM: 2x4GB SUPER TALENT DDR3 @ 1333MHz
GPU: ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB DDR5 OC Edition
HDD: 1TB Barracuda 7200 RPM
Inputs: Razer Lycosa, Razer DeathAdder, X360 Controller for Windows

Does anyone else know why? Anyone else also having this issue?

Update on that. I actually went onto their facebook page and complained about the card... they are now sending me a completely new one... We'll see if it is fixed or if the card is just complete garbage no matter what.

How high did you set your memory clock?

Hey, how did the new card turn out?

I ended up chatting with a live support rep, and he made the quick and easy solution of my RMA to send me a new card, and once I confirm it doesn't crash like my current one, I'm sending the defective one back. Simple and easy solution, here's hoping it's not the GPU core itself being cursed.
