As for LA Noire, it was actually a decent port. DX11, tessellation, enhanced lighting etc. Yeah it ran at 30FPS locked, but there are documented reasons for that.

As far as GTAIV goes, you may or may not be right about that one. Looking back on it, that game ran horribly on every platform it was released on. I'd argue that we still got the most smooth version.

2 week delay is not at all the same as a ~6 month delay, and a 30fps framerate lock is pretty much the unforgivable sin of a PC port.......

Now obviously if you don't care if it's a bad PC port or not and you just want to play on PC, then pointing out that it may be a bad PC port is irrelevant because you don't care anyways. But if you DO care rather or not it's a good port, then there is no point in pre-ordering. You lose nothing by waiting.

Max Payne 3 was a good-ass port. Great looking and well optimized.[/I]. Hope GTAV fares the same way.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT AFTER MAKING ALL THAT MONEY AND BREAKING RECORDS AND BECOMING THE BIGGEST
SELLING GAME IN HISTORY THEY WOULD CUT THE PRICE IN HALF TO 20 EURO OR 25$ NO THEY WILL CHARGE FULL
WHACK 60$ = 60 EURO ITS ALL ABOUT GREED I GET THE KIDS FIRST AND THEIR MOTHERS THEN MILK THE LAST FEW
OLDER PC GUYS.

Rockstar is a business, not a charity. They are exist purely to make money. If you wait until the summer/winter sale (assuming it is released by then) on Steam then you will get it for $20 - $25

The only Rockstar game to be locked to 30 fps (AFAIK) is L.A. Noire, and it was locked at 30 fps because the facial animations and cut scenes were recorded at 30 fps. GTA V doesn't use the same animations as L.A. Noire so there is no reason for them to lock it to 30 fps.

why is COD and BF3 so popular. I like GTA for driving and racing and tuning cars AS WELL as running people over and generally terrorizing people.

in GTA IV i like to honk at people and follow them in my car as they try to run, it's even more funny when you barley tap them car to make them fall down, then after they get back i continue to honk and chase them. devil.gif

also the simple native trainer is fun in multiplayer free/party mode. however GTA IV is really limited in game play versus GTA V whihc has a way bigger map and more game play on par with GTA SA. (game play that is)
