Cheaper, for $110 with a $10 rebate so it's really $99:

BTW, this one has 256MB, I saw a little confusion about that earlier.

My card is a 7600GS....and when you are 'enabling hardware masked units' to activate the unlock...you have to pay attention to the heading where the BIOS information is. Its in the same window, just at the very top...as you "add" pipes..you see the description change from-> 12pp, 5vs to-> 16pp, 5vs

It will NEVER tell you that the 16th pp is 'in an enabled' state, as the BIOS change cannot un-do the 'hard' code on the card....needless to say, even after enabled, it will say disabled...but by looking at the description of the card you see 16pp . check out pic # 3 and 4 you will notice what I am talking about.

If you completed the list...double check step 4 and 5...you will notice the change. In pic #3...look right under where it says " custom graphics config"....you see it says 12pp on the left and 16pp on the right. This indicates the change is effective. The BIOS code still says the chip is a 12pp...which it is just w/ a few extras now. Rivatuner cant show you the card as 16pp...it would be like my E6700 registering as a X6800 just because I had it clocked to 2.93ghz....you dig?

Will this work on a 7600GT? I thought they were all laser locked. Could you run 3DMark or something with the pipes enabled and disabled?

The description has changed as you explained so must have been done but didn't increase my benchies. Never mind, new prob now anyway!!

No..its PCI-e. Refer back to the pics I posted ..it works just fine. My card is a CHAINTEC 7600GS for the final time....its built on a new GT series PCB and features ddr3.

Any other Q's?
