Monsoon hardline compression fittings for rigid acrylic - Page 5

The acrylic cap glues onto the acrylic tube via a UV activated glue.

Step one: Bend all your tubing

Step two: Pass the compression ring over the acrylic tube

Step three: Glue the acrylic collar to the tubing

Step four: Screw the fitting into the block

Step five: Screw the compression ring into the fitting

Once the compression ring is screwed into the fitting the compression ring pushes the acrylic collar against an o-ring attached to the fitting, creating an fluid tight seal.

I understand the clear cap glues to the tubing but the metal thats on the end of it goes into a block? how would you screw it in if the tube is already glued to it?
Nevermind, i see the clear comes off the metal piece. sorry for the confusion

The metal fitting, the acrylic collar, and the metal compression ring are three completely separate pieces. If you already glue it on and need to redo it, you're going to be bending some new tubing. They sell new acrylic collars dirt cheap but there really is no way to remove it from the tube that I'm aware of.

Who else besides FCPU and PPCS sells these fittings (in the US)? Both sites are out of the matte black ones that I want to use. Even the conversion kits are out of stock (5/8").doh.gif

I don't know that there are any other retailers other than FCPU or PPCs in the US or Canada that carries Monsoon's Hardline fittings. Jab-tech sells their flexible tubing compressions but they are currently having a 1/2 off everything moving sale and are currently sold out of almost everything. Perhaps they might try to carry the Hardline lineup after their move. Microcenter, if you even have one near you, sells some of their flexible tubing fittings but not any of the Hardline stuff as far as I can tell.

Aquatuning is in Germany I believe but they market to the US (~3-day shipping to the US) and they carry Monsoon's flexible tubing fittings, but I don't think they carry any of the Hardline stuff yet either.

overclockers.co.uk carries some of Monsoon's Hardline tubing/fittings but they are sold out of a lot of it, and I didn't even see any matte black fittings listed there at all. Not even sure if they ship to the US anyway or if they do whether it would be anywhere near affordable or not.

Perhaps you might want to shoot them an email asking whatsup.

FrozenCPU has them: http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g/c633/s2230/list/p1/b213/Monsoon-Tubing_-_Rigid_Acrylic-58_OD_Hardline_Compression-Page1.html

Keep your eye out for the four packs and the six packs. They didn't have the ones I wanted in singles, but they had a bunch of 4 packs.

If they don't have the color you want in any of the colors just click the "Notify when in-stock" thing, FCPU restocks stuff frequently.

I'm just curious when Monsoon is going to release the base fitting only like they said they were. I can't find it in stock anywhere, and I don't want to buy a full entire fitting to go Acrylic, when most of my fittings are Monsoon and half of each fitting will apparently work with Hardline.

so basically the fittings are then stuck on your bent piece of tube , you need to saw the tube or break the glue of the sleeves to get back the whole fittings.
For me it's sounds like nightmare , but i'm pretty sure they think they are genius at monsoon , making them not fully reusable and push people to buy more, clever , i must admit ,....

well if you just want to do hard tube without fancy i would say EK fittings are much much cheaper and easier to find , including the bending kit. They look easier to use and more reliable,....
i can find 5 or 6 retailer that carry the primo hardline stuff but none of them has the bending kit,....... and even if you find it the sillicon insert is too small inside , you need to source another one yourself ,
:S the extra 5 bucks for the locking tool is a joke too , nice colors but at these price it s taking people for fools.

No, the fittings aren't stuck on the tube, only the lock collar is glued to the tube. You can get replacement lock collars separately.
