Ive done that its at 545/965. And also im playing cs 1.6 at 1280x1024 and i get flawless 100 constant fps. On anything lower than that like 800x600(what i normally use) i get frequent drops to 60s when i see people.

You will get fps drops depending on your location and how detailed it is.

But if you mean random then it may be a driver issua....have you got the latest drivers?

you can try better drivers like these NGO optomised drivers, but you have to make sure you use driver cleaner and get the old drivers correctly removed before installing these

Is the 6600gt considered a good card? Should i be getting 100fps constant with those specs?

well it depends on the rest or your rig also but i like my 6600GT even though it's not exactly top of the line but then again neither is your p4. please go to the top of the page and click the user cp button then the add system link on the left hand side and fill in your system specs because it helps us trouble shoot just about all problems you need help with.

your 6600gt may not be capable of 100 FPS average but the hot spot for gaming is around 60 anyways most people think.
