Wow nice drop. Also just a quick question. Are those idle or load temps? And if load what program are you using to monitor and stress the CPU?

Its really good for stressing your CPU.

Alright, well run that and you can see what your CPU will be under a high load. I would suggest getting another heatsink and fan combo if you are planning on overclocking anymore.

But I think you are heading in the right direction.

You can overclock that CPU a ton. I have mine at 3.2Ghz under 1.4volts. I have the tuniq tower so my temps are in the upper 20's idle and mid 30's load. Get an aftermarket cooler. It will really help.

i've added one extra fan, and yesterday i ordered 3 more (one for video card, 120mm, and a 80mm for the side of my case).

also, i saw this thing with some one rubbing their heatsink on sand paper with dish washing soap...? does that work?

What you are describing is called 'Lapping'. You do that to make sure the surface of the heatsink or the IHS or Intergrated Heatsink on the processor are totally flat, and can make a better match together to transfer more heat.

And yes it does work, you can see pretty dramatic temperature drops if done right. From anywheres from 3C all the way to 15C is some extreme cases.

I think your best bet right now, because you seem pretty interested in getting the most performance out of your PC, would to be getting a aftermarket heatsink. It can lower your temps by a lot from the stock heatsink, and you will be able to Overclock alot more.
