Replace my server CPU

Hi all I have a server which is used for storing and serving files backups and media streaming via DLNA to multiple devices at once and also sometime does transcoding when streaming and also streams via remote access , os windows server 2012 r2. now here is the advice I kneed the server has Intel dual core g2030 3.0ghz CPU skt1155 8gbddr3 ram now I recently got a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9705 3.1ghz skt 775 and I am really thinking if it is worth going back to skt 775 and using this cpu. what do you guys think

i don't think that upgrading the processor will be a notable difference.. though cpu vs cpu the quad is obviously better.. still.. for a server i`d use the dual-core.. less power consumption.

I personally dont think it is worth it to roll back to a old sck775 quad for your needs.. If you are finding the Intel dual core g2030 is slugish you can always look at replacing that CPU with a I3 or I5 by selling off both CPU's to offset the cost... Then you dont have to reinstall the OS etc...
