Ok,people, I'm going to crazy. I researched about mobo for my E6600. at first, I chose Msi Plantinum 'coz tomshardware.com rate it so high http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/11/...al/page20.html
But after saw this topichttp://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...ard-right.html
I had headache.
P5 Deluxe, people in this forum love it soooo much, I can feel, but why?
MSI p65 plantinum, worst in chart, but best in tomshardware.com chart. So which can I belive in? BTW, I love this forum from the begin

its from personall experience that members have with the boards, if you want to overclock it then get the p5b-d, if your tight on money and get the biostar 965pt, thats what i have to say about it

I was duped by that Tom's Hardware article as well.

I returned my MSI platinum and bought a DQ6 before it even arrived... with BIOS revisions, the DQ6 has been doing a lot better than what the internet reviews say

PSB-Deluxe and Gigabyte DS3 are the best two boards for overclocking. Tom's Hardware isn't always reliable, as they do tests in a controlled environment, and not necessarily a real-world one.

i wouldnt say those are the two best, i think with jsut guys from this forum that the p5b-d and ds3 and biostar p965 are the best, i mean look at what before had done with the p5b-d adn the biostar965, rather amazing, also thepook before he fried his by accident

personally i think for straight overclocking the p5b-d and the biostar are teh two best before you get into the >$200 boards

gigabyte is good too. dont disclude that. biostar is not good out of the box, you need a vcore mod, vdroop mod, and a flashed bios as well as a vdimm mod and a new NB cooler to get those insane overclocks.

with the Gigabyte S3/DS3, you only need good ram and the ability to type in a higher number for FSB

I have 5 from the list in the post above me and I like the DQ6 the best... I do not like the P5B Deluxe though, right now I have a QX6700 Extreme Quad on it, but plan on buying another DQ6 board for it tonight. I also have 3 P965 E6600 processors on DS3 boards as well, but haven't tried the S3 yet, nor have I tried the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe, but will be installing my E6700 Core Duo on it.... If that doesn't work out the way I expect I'll be getting yet another DQ6....

I will change my top motherboards with new releases:

1. Intel D975XBX2
2. ASUS Commando
3. Abit AB9 QuadGT
4. P5W DH Dlx
5. GA-965P-DS6
6. P5B Deluxe
7. GA-965P-DS3
8. P5B-E
9. Abit AB9 Pro
10. Gigabyte GA-965P-S3
11. BioStar 965

The ASUS Striker and ASUS P5N32-E SLI stand in a class of there own and do not deserve to be ranked with the others. If you want SLI, they are #1. If you don't, well they aren't #1....
