OK, but the DA's S3888 is fine in that aspect isnt it ? so this is all just a major **** up ? ( Btw may I add that I only got the asus vg248qe not long ago and didn't fully get used to the refresh boost) so can it all be just a big placebo ?

This is one big reason I got rid of my 4th 3.5G RMA (aside from the fact that the scroll wheel glitched on every single unit I had).
Hi metal,

I never thought you're that video owner.. smile.gif I also tested and it gave me the same results... for some reason @ 1000hz polling rate, it's inconsistent, but from what i read and when you plug it out of the box, i think 500hz is default polling rate and the "best" one wink.gif good video BTW

Thanks, that is my YouTube channel. Every video on there is mine.

500 Hz is more consistent, but I also saw some minor drops to around 400-450 Hz in the left direction still even with that...it's really strange how no one else seemed to have noticed this issue and are still loving the 3.5G. This stuff really does affect your aim and the smoothness of pointer movement, it's not a placebo effect!

No other mouse to date that I've ever tried was incapable of running 1000 Hz locked straight to a value between 995-1005 or so in all directions of movement. Only the 3.5G DA has failed like this. It makes me wonder about the original, but the original 3G was probably okay.
