Barbs on khuler 620

Hi guys. I have an antec 620 that has some dodgy tubing.
I was using it on my card before and I want to put it back on.
However with the hoses being loose I am thinking of modding it with a res.

My question is can the barbs be replaced with compression fittings and do you think the pump will handle a mb block aswell

If not what size hose will I need to purchase and what sort of res would you recommend

Hey,

Without maybe fabricating a new barb entirely, you will need to use a clamp on the hose. The hose itself should be 1/4" id which you can get cheap in clear at a local home depot, lowes or other hardware stores.

The reservoir will help bleed air obviously but if you don't want one you can get away without it. I have spent a lot of time playing with different arrangements and my last time I tried using my h70 on the GPU without the reservoir with success.

Put the inlet hose in a gallon of distilled water and just bleed out the air, then plug the output with a finger and shut the pump off. Then reconnect the hose. The air bubble that was in the loop from the method I described stayed in the radiator and didn't continue to recirculate since its a pretty low flow rate.

This was an experiment for me so I didn't add a kill coil or anything but a reservoir if you have space would be best. For the nearly 3 years I had my h70 and antec 920 modded I used a 50/50 mix of fesser one coolant and distilled water with a silver kill coil.

Thats cool. Least I know the sizes now.
Ive tested the cooler and the tubes move however theres no coolant leaking.
Im going look for a cheap small res n mod it.

Swiftech micro res v2 is probably the smallest and cheapest route. Its what I picked up and its small size has come in handy.
