Thread Starter

I was lookin at the afterburner graph yesterday and i noticed something wrong i think...

take a look:

the tdp keeps going up and down and spikes to 600% sometimes wtf....This is at stock settings , idle cpu just those 2 programs open...

any ideas what is going on would be very appreciated...i am a little worried for my card...need it to live a little longer :)

The screenshot is way too small for me.

Edit: ...not that I need to be able to see it that clearly anyway.

I don't know what the problem could be, but I'll take a stab at it (a blind stab...): what's the make and model of your PSU?

You need to drag the little windows a bit more to the left and right, so we can see the girl in the middle better. LOL.

I do see the utilization graph going from 0% to 100% frequently, which is unusual considering you don't have any applications running that use the GPU. I wonder if something's running in the background on your PC. Can you try running Performance Monitor and see if anything other than system idle process is consistently over 2-3%?

Performance Monitor (perfmon) is included with Windows. If you're running Windows 8 you can open Task Manager, click on the performance tab, then click "Open Resource Monitor" at the bottom.

Nothing to download!

It seems to be a misread, be it from the card or a driver/other software bug.

Does the card get clocked down when playing games because of this. The card it self should not allow such high power.

Your first images shows a card doing nothing with 400% TDP. If it is a card defect, you may have to get the card replaced. Testing it in another system would be a good way to try to rule out other software as an issue.
