Does you board have a Pci-e frequency setting. If it dosent then it will raise with the overclock and it causes all kinds of instability. It is best to lock it at 100 so it dosent go with the HTT.

Does you bios have a setting for the pcie bus. If it dosent then you cant set it at 100 to lock it so it dosent raise with the overclock. It causes instability and kills the overclock.

yeah i think i saw that, ill try locking it at 100. But why is my HTT always going back to x5 i think thats whats really making it unstable

Because you are using the auto settings!!!haha...I thinks it's either the htt that's on auto or the multiplier!

Yea that will limt the overclock too. I dont have an answer on that one. I have never seen that happen before. Have you done a reset and then tried?

Yea I guess auto could be it but usually in oreder to change the settings you have to use user difine.

well you have to get that HTT figured out or it will hurt ya. Dont forget to loosen the mem timmings abit too. It will actually help get the FSB higher.
