Not worth the money.. If you want a budget cooer, the Arctic freezer pro will be better than that 7700, and will be about $5-10 less. If you dont mind spending a little more, go for a big typhoon.

Just spend the extra money and get MUCH better cooling. The Tuniq Tower is the best air cooling solution around and has a pretty good stock fan. The $50-$60 you would spend is definitly worth it in my opinion.

Performance PCs has them in stock!

You do not have to lap it...I never did and still get great temps.

Lapping is basicly making the base of the heatsink smoother and shinier for better heat transfer (or something to that effect)

Lapping means to sand the base of a heatsink to get it smooth for better heat transfer.

you don't HAVE to, you are ADVISED to, the only thing not worth lapping are the Thermalright stuff - the Zalman is slightly smoother, but it WILL benefit from lapping?
It means sand the HSF to a mirror like finish for better contact to the CPU, and thus better cooling. Zalman's don't really need it, BTs do. I would say get an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, or I have a little secret weapon that beats a Tuniq Tower in cooling performance...
