if your going SLI get the 680i, otherwise the P5B Deluxe would be better, or the P5W which is better than the P5B Deluxe

Choose using this:
Wowza's Guide

I suggest the 680i, but I enjoy the prospect of the high FSB and SLi.

My recommendation, whatever you do stick with ASUS* whether it be 680i, P965, or 975X chipsets.

* The only exception to that is Intel's "Bad Axe 2" 975X motherboard, Gigabyte DS3 P965 board, and possibly Abits P965 boards.

I noticed you are running your E6600 at 458 x 7 = 3.2Ghz. It would be a better idea to keep the stock multiplier and stay at or under 400Mhz FSB.

Not according to my 3dmark06 tests, I also wondered about the strap,

But as long as the numbers go up, I like it this way I get a chance to rma my p5w dh, then I will be able to compare the two

My memory is running over 900mhz in 1:1

Perhaps this is because the 1333Mhz NB strap in the DS3 start at a different location. It is starts at perhaps 350Mhz, then you are in the 1333Mhz FSB strap at both 400Mhz and ~460Mhz, which of course 460Mhz would be faster!
