will see if they add more context to the multiplayer, im sure they spend most time devleloping the campaign but now they add another year so that extra year probably will go to the multiplayer

not sure how they will change the game up alot becuz even counter strike is the same **** and alot of people still play it, cod has best marketing, more money and its still alot different than counter strike

only way they could re-invent the game is to try new daring things, some enironment destruction like broken dry wall, the stuff in the bf3 map for close quarters
could probably add some new melee weapons and fighting

breathe some life into the player mechanics and the environment and bigger maps with more players but keep gamemodes to serve same amount of players like 6x6 and 12v12 so people can choose and check

Id love a game mode where say, you start in the center of a large map, teams are 8v8 or so, as the teams push the map "evolves" and you get pushed back into a different map. On a basic level think the fighting starts in the streets and then as one team starts winning it spawns the losing team back in a building with a superior defensive position which the winning team now has to assault. If the losing team manages to counter attack it will push "back" to the streets and then into an opposing building.

Obviously its a basic idea. But I think it would be fun and would encourage proper team work and even add some strategy.

Not going to lie, but after playing CS for years, and then dabbling in console with both Halo and CoD 4+, I had some fun. MW1 and 2 were probably my most memorable experiences as far as the CoD franchise and consoles go.

World at War (I didn't try the zombies game mode) and beyond were complete ****, IMO. Only put two weeks into MW3. Didn't bother with the latest two. Actually, gave up on consoles completely.

BF3 and 4 have been interesting, but they've never really been my cup of tea (not even the earlier BFs which seem prehistoric now). But that could be because I'm just burnt out on FPS games.

Halo 4 was mind numbingly boring.

Both Borderlands' were incredibly refreshing (I got into BL1 a few years late but loved it). BL2 is probably the only MPer FPS I still play.

FarCry 3 was also a blast. Enjoyed that game more than all the CoD's put together. BioShock is also a fantastic franchise.

As far as competitive/online shooters go, I'm still waiting to get wowed again, but don't see it happening anytime soon unless we get an interesting sci-fi shooter as previously mentioned. I liked the 'Future Warfare' idea... Something sci-fi, but not as face paced as Quake or Unreal Tournament (not like they're bad, but also played out). Though I cringe at the thought of it being a CoD and inevitably raped and re-hashed to death.

I think now's one of those times where we need some unknown studio with fresh ideas and passion to come out of nowhere and surprise us again with something new and exciting. Stat! I think my head will explode if I see another CoD, Halo, or CS remake.

I haven't ever really gotten into the COD franchise to be honest. I dabbled with COD 2 way back in 2006 when I first got my PS3 but didn't try another one until I built my first gaming PC in 2011 and got COD4 MW. I think BFBC2 really came to be what I liked and expected out of a FPS and so COD never really resonated with me after that. My favorite franchises remain BF, Crysis, and FC. I really think its about time all of these war franchises make a return to WWII (or even WWI). I know they were panned back in the day when everybody was doing them but there hasn't been a WWII shooter since we've had the graphics capabilities of today. A modern COD 2 might get me back into the COD franchise again...

I'm waiting for a really good Korea or Vietnam shooter. BFBC2 is the latest one I can remember, but no jets and very small maps. BF vietnam with today's hardware and a mosquito-slapping mini-game (that's for you snipers :-P)
