I am considering selling my BTTF Flux Capacitor parts to finance this build. These are extremely rare to get and will not go cheap.

That my friend are real EIMAC high voltage vacuum tube relay's. The very same type used in the Back to the future Flux Capacitor, making time travel possible. Very rare and expensive stuff. And might be sold for the right price.

If they don't sell I would recommend taking your time. I am also on a student income and a part time Dad so I feel the pinch when it comes to money. I am currently buying 1 part per fortnight for my build with a couple of expensive parts which are going to take a month or so each to finance. The GPU is going to be a two month wait I think frown.gif I'm resisting the urge to sell off stuff to finance it though haha tongue.gif

I feel you. I am in the same boat and know exactly what you mean. I do on the other hand have a few other items that for a collector is worth quite a lot. But at the same time, I might regret selling these as well - it is after all rare items and something I've wanted for a long time, and getting one's hands on them is difficult enough.

The GPU will be 3 months for me since 2 months is beyond my limits, I cannot manage such a compressed time space. Plus I have the Seagate NAS HDD 4TB, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB, G.Skill 32GB ram and sleeving that I will try and get this month without going bust, and lets not forget the custom loop... lol

The one advantage of being broke, I'm in the same boat, is all the extra time that you get to put into planning your project! If I had pulled the trigger on the customer loop and case mods I had planned before Xmas than, I would not be happy with them now as I've researched so much more and have had so many new ideas! It's as much about the journey as the finished product!

It's as much about the journey as the finished product! - You are absolutely correct, the journey is very important and I really enjoy it. Changes are less than what I add, and there are a few things I will add that were not part of the original plan.

One is a stainless steel sheet in front of the HDD bay area and this sheet will "hide" the LED on the edge and while doing so, I will expand the LED so that it covers the entire hight. Yes I will use some chrome in the build so it is in fact a okay
