What do I set in BIOS for C1, C3, C6 and Package Support for CPU power management?

Hey guys, I want to have the best performance and be able to keep temps down while in idle, 1600Mhz~4.500Mhz varying idle and full load. What do you guys recommend? I tested with only C6 enabled and the rest disable and seems to mantain the same CPU performance in 3DMark 11 like it was 4.5Ghz locked all the time, but I don't know if this is the best setup to use.

Leave all of them enabled. That's the best, actually. I mean, leave C1E, C3, C6 and SpeedStep. If you're using an Offset Voltage, then reconfigure to a Medium Load-Line Calibration so that you can leave C3 and C6 enabled without any problems while idling or under very light loads.

How much of a difference in power consumption would there be with these on as opposed to off? Have a 4.5ghz oc on another rig similar to the op but I keep as many power saving options off as possible.

For my sig rig, with all of these disabled, my idle power consumption is about 35-40W higher than it is with all of these enabled.

If your PC is mostly idle then there is no need to push extra volts through the CPU, itll reduce its lifespan to a certain degree, so its favoured to run offset and C States enabled.
