Current phone is the Motorola Atrix 2, its old... i know, and i was over due for an upgrade, and was offered the GS4 Active for free, so i said why not. an dpulled the trigger on it.

i know i wont be disappointed, my Atrix 2 is a tank, and does everything i need. I was just curious about suggestions, or options for rooting it and custom roms.. as i have NEVER done this before
but i was told by many sources its the best way to go to get the most out of my phone. Thoughts appreciated!

You might be able to root and rom but most likely not samsung has their asses clenched for some reason and locked their phones up tight... before you do anything check XDA for model numbers and firmware versions before doing anything i followed a guide on youtube and soft bricked my GS4 and had to spend 5 hours undoing the damage.

^ You shouldn't root your phone if you like it the way it is. The reason why most people root their phones is to get rid of the features they don't use and to gain access to control of various aspects of the UI.
