I use one of my molexes for my slim line drive. I didn't bother sleeving them since they're back hidden behind everything.
But yeah man feel free to experiment. We need guys like you to open things up.

Last night I ordered the Satechi® Computer RGB LED Light Strip with Remote control for my Hadron.
Shipping sometime today or tomorrow, should be here sometime next week (hopefully).

This is one of the reasons I'm glad I kept the molex connectors. I had originally thought about getting rid of them as well and using the extra space for extensions, but changed my mind. The only 2 parts of the cables you can actually see is where the 24 pin connects to the mobo, and the pcie connector on the gpu, which IMO, at least right now is not worth the price tag for extensions, and the hassle for doing it myself. Maybe once my tax return comes in. wink.gif

For now, LEDs!!! thumb.gif

Edit: shipped!

I agree with you. Especially the DVD rack nobody cares about and the HDD rack that takes to much space. I also would like the front USB/audio connector on the same side as the window. I'm pretty sure most people setup the case with a little angle to look through the window so the connectors sits on the other side.

For the PSU you could make it modular yourself and the cable are easily sleeved.

I love the Phanteks mini ITX. It's sad they did it with cheap plastic rather than all metal. mITX systems are not cheap at all...

Agreed with the disappointment on the Evolv Mini materials. I would have loved to see it use the same aluminium construction that the regular Evolv did.

Monochrome Mini update : work in progress. I'm probably going to remove that blue usb 3.0 or sleeve it black.
On the Mod of the Month thread there was a discussion of one of the builds using EL tape. Maybe look into that as an option, though the blue certainly works against the name of "Monochrome" kinda. wink.gif
post #1437 of 2226
Exactly. I'm going to either remove it since my mother board has (4) usb 3.0 slots or I'm going to gaff tape it black.
Sorry, I probably should have clarified. The EL tape I was referring to is Electroluminescent tape. It might be interesting to see what that thing looks like lit up with bright white. smile.gif

Nice! I'll look into that Electroluminescent Tape!

Hey everyone, ordered parts the other night for my first mini ITX build and went with the Hadron. Now after stumbling on this thread I'm worried about the GPU I chose. How is the heat with these Sapphire 280 Dual-X cards? I did not know about the case hating open air gpus. I just got the Motherboard, RAM, and GPU in today as well. Any work arounds or someone who can vouch for these particular GPUs?
