you dont own anything you pay full price for anymore, soon this would apply not only on digital products but everything physical. you already dont own your computer or console

I own my PC. If anyone tries to take my PC away they will not see the next day. Games are different. I did not pay for something physical in the first place.

You dont own the game. You could resell game before because you could not not because it was 100% allowed. You know if you buy a Movie you can technically only watch it with your family. Remember a used game before meant old and scratched disk. The is no such thing as used digital copy. It like selling car but they never get old? Would manufactures allow that? No. Cars do get old though so there is a benefit to getting a new car.

There is also a benefit to buying a new copy. You can enjoy it with your friend vs instead of your friend. But we can't even do that.

You can't sell your license because when you purchased it you agreed to the terms that you were buying it for HanSomPa, not "HanSomPa until I get bored with the game and want to sell it"

I know what I agreed to. I am simply saying that I don't have any other choice and I don't like it.

Lol, to everyone else who responds to me. You think I'm not aware of what I agreed or didn't agree to? I am, I am questioning it and I am upset about it. This is a discussion, not a Steam post where I'm begging Steam to refund my game. I will continue to buy Steam games and I will continue to disapprove of the things I'm forced to do. The same way I'm disgruntled with the K-12 system. I didn't like it and I think many aspects of it are simply disgusting. As would many other parents. But did I go through and excel at it? Lol yes, I had no other choice.

Don't honestly care... I don't remember the last time I played full price for a game.

If you can't get your money's worth out of a game with Steam, you likely shouldn't have bought that game to begin with.

There are too many reviews out there these days to buy a crap game.

It is a bit different, but I highly doubt that the used market will kill the PC industry. Did piracy kill it? Absolutely not. The bottom line is, if you want to play something, you're gonna have to buy it. The difference is that you can sell it once you don't want to play it anymore. I certainly will not be selling BF4 anytime soon. And I highly doubt that I can sell my BF3 used even if I could. Nobody plays it anymore.
No they wouldn't. Origin and Battlenet are different platforms. I'm simply saying that Valve should actually act like the good guy if they are gonna market themselves as on. Of course marketing is a lie, like I've been insisting for months here. rolleyes.gif
True, but it's still their image and I hate how much adoration people have for them.
It absolutely wouldn't be. Valve commands a huge chunk in the gaming market. It's that market that will force developers to adhere to Steam's lordship. It's the same reason Facebook makes money, access to 750million accounts. A huge market and a huge availability of tools that businesses can use to market themselves.
I agree with you and I see your point. In fact, in many ways I agree with it. However, I disagree that this was a decision made for survival or even continued profitability. I believe this was pure greed. It's like how EA splits the battlefield experience into Premium or Five DLCs. They absolutely don't have to do that to make money and remain profitable.

Origin, UPlay and Battle.net are not different at all. They're Digital Distribution platforms. If Valve were forced to allow resales, so would Origin, UPlay, Stardock, etc etc, and this includes PSN and XBL.

AS for the rest, cba entering this debate. I don't think you know what is it you're talking about.

You'd think one of Valve's competitors would step in and allow you to release keys for resale. I should be pitching that instead of whining here lol

I know what they are. I'm saying they wouldn't have to adhere to anything Steam does because they are outside of it. Different. What Steam does is frankly none of their business.
