Hey I was just messing around to see what this processor was capable of. I was able to achieve 4.7 HT on for 24/7 use keeping temps under 67C on full load. I was also able to achieve a 4.8 Ht max.

What temperatures do you get under 100% load ?

Here is an intel burn test result. I ran 10 loops prior to make sure it was stable and it was. I then ran another 3 so I could snap a photo mid burn test to show you the temps. Look at the gadget to the right. I saw a max of about 76c during full load. I am considering adding a 3rd Noctua fan to drop the temps down even more. I still think this is pretty good starting point for this overclock and I can always try to knock the Vcore down some more.

My cpu will never really see that type of load on daily use but there ya go smile.gif and a 4.7 4930k is loco speed smile.gif

76c on 4.1vcore

Tweaked the vcore voltages kept the same clocks. Lowered Vcore to 3.55v and was able to achieve temps that never past 67c making this my new stable everyday overclock.

Windows 8.1 Pro. How many GFlops should a 4930k be seeing? I heard the read outs as far a Gflops aren't very accurate with IBT. IBT from what I read is more of a tool to test stability/voltages rather than to test your GFLOP numbers. Ram plays a big factor from what I have read about IBT results. Right now I don't have the greatest of ram chips but they aren't horrible. I am just using some simple Patriot G2 1600 2gb x 4 chips at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24. I usually average at around 97 GFlops wtih IBT with my setup at 1600mhz.

I plan on upgrading that in the near future and that may bring the GFLOP #'s up on IBT. I might even see higher numbers if I were to downclock the ram to 1333mhz. I know the clock is stable at the temps are great. As far as GFlops are concerned the chip is brand new and hasn't even seen high voltages or a high overclock #'s as of yet because it cruises at its existing speed. I am confident I can push this chip to 5ghz easily with the temps and voltages I am currently getting.

I can run some benchmarks for you once I know which program I can use to bench with on Windows 8.1 and see what numbers they produce. 3d mark11 no longer seems to work with 8.1 so what benchmark programs are you guys using?

Mine's at 4.5 GHz, 2133 MHz RAM, and IBT v2.54 with Very High Stress Level gives me around 156 - 157 GFlops.

Edit: Also Windows 8.1 Pro, 64-bit.

Very strange I just tightened up the timings to 8-9-8-24 still at 1600 and ran it on very high. I did get higher numbers so I do suspect the ram is affecting my numbers somehow. if I run IBT on standard setting it runs me at 97 gflops with either choice of timings. If I run it on very HIGH I am pushing 127 Is this normal?

Same Clocks/voltages on both comparisons. IBT running on Very HIGH

8-9-8-24 On very high 1600

9-9-9-24 On very high 1600

My memory setup will have to do until I can afford some new Patriot Viper 3's or Corsair Dominators.
