The BBC reports that the new Turkish law would allow Turkish authorities to shut down websites without a court order. This is on top of the thousands of websites that have been blocked already. The BBC quotes the Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as calling Twitter a scourge, and it says he has been openly critical of social media, presumably because protesters have used it to organize in his country.

When will governments learn that this immediately turns the entire world against them...

useless,dusty backwards and archaic ideologies against the modern, sexy, creative and free populace ?

The internet and global communications has let the genie out of the bottle, and its not going back in

Terrible governments control too much. Good governments get the balance right and they succeed and live themselves better as a result
