once i do get it i will let you know what i get for temps. i have a pressty insane 80mm fan blowing directly at the vrms, and a noctua to cool the voltages from a add on pci slot, so i hope i will be ok, have extra heatsinks just need to know what to look for to heatsink the back.

i see your pic now of your card heatsinked on the back. do our cards differ much? i have same brand msi, oc edition 1025? or 50 stock i think.

i have the 7970

The heatsink is nice as long as the AIO cooler will fit with it on. Honestly I'm not the authority on overclocking and cooling these cards as I haven't been playing with it long. Why not just invest in a full block and water cooling setup?

Ok.. Ran two bench's. One at 950/1450 and one at 1250/1600. You can see there is quite a difference in scores. These were made with beta drivers so I'm not sure if i could do better with the official drivers or not. Not THAT MUCH of a benchmark whore.

Not sure how much our cards differ. Stock clocks are different for sure. mine run at 800/1250 stock. have 6+6 pin power. Your's is a 7970 so i'm assuming it's 8+6? Also yours may be a non reference pcb.
i think its stock refrence, isnt your stock refrence? my power is indeed 8+6.
Yes.. Mine is a Reference card. Just did a quick game of Black ops 2 at 1250/1600 and i can definately tell you the framerates are much higher than even 1100/1600. I usually average in the 130-140 range at 5760x1080. 1250/1600 gets me more into the 160ish fps range. I think a more stock clock at that resolution is more around the 100ish fps range. Haven't tried a stock clock at 1920x1080(one monitor) but with two of these cards it pegs the 200fps cap in BOP2 at 1100mhz. 1250 is a little hot for my liking though. core temps in the 50's and I saw one of my VRM's hit 80 degrees. Easily within spec though. Might try it out on more demanding games.

well since your came with the twin frozr right? dual fan model? im guessing mine is refrence card also, which mean and i hope that huge heatsink fits, im gonna run the h60 if possible. ill note my temps to you and show you if the heatsink was worth the 52 w/shipping.
