I was slowly updating my other build log, but I decided that after today, it deserves a new one.

I'm going to be using this computer for gaming, benching, and mining. Since these cards will run very hot, might as well watercool them, and keep them around a bit longer.

Existing Parts -

CPU: i7 3960x
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Motherboard
Memory: 32GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaw X (1600mhz)
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000
SSD: Samsung Evo 250GB SSD
Watercooling: XSPC RS360 Black - High Performance Copper Fin Radiator
XSPC X2O 750 12V Pump/Reservoir
6x XSPC G1/4 3/8ID x 5/8OD Compression Fitting
XSPC Raystorm CPU Waterblock

This photo was taken when these were new...

New Parts -

Corsair 900D Case
Video Cards: 4x AMD R9 290x (2x Gigabyte, 1 Diamond, 1 XFX)
Power Supply: 1x Corsair AX1200i (using as main with HX1000w via PSU2PSU)
Watercooling: 4 x XSPC Razor R9 290X / 290 - Full Cover Water Block (XSPC-RZR-R9-290)
1 x XSPC Razor SLI Flow Bridge (4-Slot)
1 x PrimoFlex Advanced LRT 10ft Tubing - 3/8in. ID X 5/8in. OD - Bloodshed Red
1 x XSPC RX480 Quad-Fan Radiator
6 x XSPC G1/4 to 3/8ID, 5/8OD Compression Fitting
1 x D5 Photon 270 Reservoir/Pump Combo (XSPC-D5-PHOTON-270)

Two out of the four 290x and with the 900D case.

Two more R9 290X just purchased yesterday! Gotta love Microcenter.

Parts are on their way and will be coming up til' some time next week. More updates to come!

Finished Project

Nothing in the mail today, but I'm too excited to not do anything. So...I drew this up to figure out how I wanted to do the water cooling (pretty old-fashioned). Not sure if I want one large loop or two smaller loops (I'm leaning towards the one larger loop).

The Ax1200i comes in tomorrow so I'm going to be testing the load on the GPUs then. Water cooling parts come in on Tuesday.

I'm torn between this case and the phanteks enthoo primo, and modding the heck out of my air 540.

How thick are the rads you are using and are you "only" using the 360 and 480?

The rx480 is 56mm. The rs360 is 35mm. You don't think two radiators will be enough?

Nah, they should be good enough, ut this is OCN and you've already gone overkill! Might as well add another 480. thumb.gif

Haha you're right. Go big or go home. Sadly, because of the second psu I have no more room for another 480.

There is always dual 240s in the bottom. thumb.gif Or, you could do some fancy work and put both PSUs on the same side and have an extension cable like they do in the smaller itx cases that have the PSU at the front. Then you could have a 480 and save yourself a few bucks while you're at it.

AX1200i came in the mail today (Happy Valentine's Day to myself...). I set it up along with the 1000w. According to my kill-a-watt, system total is pulling in 1450w while mining on all four cards. Not too shabby. Gotta let it run for a few days to see if its completely stable, then when the water cooling parts come in, add them to the system and get it back up and running.
