Better if you love hot and loud video cards with broken frame metering for 2 years running, yeah, sure. wink.gif Besides which, I went from OC'ed 7970s to OC'ed 680s (msi lightning) and the 7970s were not faster. But think what you will.

Sad thing is I would have kept the 7970s until I had it one too many times with AMD's incompetent software team. I did like the 7970s at first, that is, until I went into CF + surround then it all went down the drain. Downloading a new WHQL that fixes one problem and creates 7 other problems gets old after a while. Especially with eyefinity being broken, frame pacing being broken, and their software in general crapping the bed. My favorite was not being able to recover from sleep for 1 year straight without crashing. HDMI audio never working. Control panel vsync not working. Witcher 2 crashing in crossfire for 5 months straight. I tell ya, AMD's software team is awesome. But the 7970s were GREAT if you can ignore that! thumb.gif GPUs with working software is overrated. OVERRATED! Who needs working drivers or software.

Well are we discussing after market or reference here? lol Never has a problem with frame pacing with my 7970 when I had it

And yeah, of course out selling your competition by 2:1 is a complete disaster.....

It's funny every time I read this. AMD acknowledged the problem themselves, regardless of whether you were sensitive to it or not, it exists. End of story...

I don't think that statement in anyway suggests failure.. they had yield issues with is something completely different. Sure maybe Kepler sold more but that doesn't make it a better product

I think you need to relax lol blinksmiley.gif

The most hilarious part is that it took AMD's software team two years to fix it. They JUST NOW managed to fix it and ONLY in DX11 for CF/EF. DX9? Still broken, still no frame pacing for DX9.

AMD's software team is still AMD. Some things never change. And until it changes I think i'll happily stay on the NV side.

My personal favourite is that Mantle reintroduced stuttering and hitching too wink.gif

Does Nvidia have any driver issues..I mean at all.

Strawman. However the issues tend to be rarer and less severe overall. However we didn't say nvidia has no driver issues, buddy.

Sounds like you have issues maintaining your pc. Nvidia is probably the better option for all the "Plug'n'Play" type people, especially now as they venture further into the voltage locked, non overclockable gpu's. I think staying on the Nvidia side is probz best for you too thumb.gif
