It's almost necessary when you are desoldering high pin count plugs and switches to be replaced. I used to have to use the braid method as well, but the boss finally broke down and bought me the desoldering gun. He liked it so much he bought himself one too lol

Yea here lately for dense stuff I have been using small torches they sell here in Korea for copper pipe fitting. They are less than $5 and they have a relatively large LP container on them (still fits in the hand) they last a while and they have a striker so you don't have to light them. The thing I like the most though is they have a perfect nozzle so the flame is perfect unlike the miniature butane ones I used to get in the US....

I got board so I decided to go ahead and setup my monitors. I decided to go with 5 on the first stack portrait. I also did bezel reduction on them. I just need to do some finishing touches now, I plan to make more stylish backing and im filling in the seams with black tape..... biggrin.gif

Monitors look great! Im going to add more support, backing and im going to cute 1/8" black onyx Plexiglas to cover the boarders of the screens for a more sleek look! biggrin.gif

I just got done fabricating a switch panel out of scrap UV Green acrylic. This switch panel has 4 green lit toggle switches(Military aircraft style), and one fader. The switches are for Green accent lighting(Blocks etc), Green Cold Cathode(Under Desk), Several UV Cold Cathodes, and the secondary pump. The fader(POT) just dims the green accent LED Lighting..... smile.gif

Amung other things Im currently trying to figure out where I want to put the Power, Reset, Acc LCDs Chorme Billet Green Lit Push button switches. I am going to mount a GOverLay 2.8" USB LCD, and a 7" MIMO Touch LCD somewhere. I need to run the wires and find a place to stash the BigNG T-Balancer usb software Fan controller, and I need to mount the 3 Green LED Voltage displays I have. I also have a nice black temperature & Humidity sensor to put somewhere..... Im trying to add this stuff where it is both function and does not make the desk look crowded.....

Im currently trying to figure out where I want to put the large multi temperature probe, reset switch, and ambient temperature/humidity sensor. I just drilled the hole and wired up the Main Power Switch and HDD Activity LED(Green High-luminous Billet chrome style). And I got the Voltmeters All installed, One of them got damaged and does not work anymore so I will be replacing it soon. But the four are going to be tapping into the two Power supplies, they will display 3v, 5v, and 12v of the Main PSU, and the 5v rail of the secondary PSU. I also have a 3 in one clock/Voltmeter/temperature sensor that will be displaying the 12v rail on the secondary PSU and its temperature probe will be free hanging secured with Velcro so that I can place it anywhere im curious about temps, it will probably mainly be in the main coolant RES. Next I will be installing the two USB LCDs and there power switches.......

Ok got the Power switch and reset switch installed, I have the reset switch installed with an aircraft toggle cover. I decided to put the reset button where I did because it lights up and I dont want my 2 year old to push it and reset it lol, So to make it hard it isnt on the side where the power button is and it has that cover on it! rolleyes.gif I figured out where I want the other stuff and im about to start cutting! I have to admit I know its not the best positioning cosmetic wise but for practicality the stuff is in the best possable position for me. I will be setting at this desk at a 45 degree angle and the motherboard will be fully visible as well as the USB Monitors to monitor performance and FPS. biggrin.gif

Ok got it all installed!!!! biggrin.gif And it looks better than I thought it would! Looks nice and clean!

This is what I have left to do today:

-Install USB 2.0 Header inside desk and attach two USB LCDs.
-Install Wire block and figure out running
-Install 20" LG 1080p Monitor on second row(8th Monitor)
-Install and test BigNG USB Fan/Thermal Controller
-Prep Secondary PSU for Rewire and blocked installation
-Begin Cutting Plexi Monitor Bezels
-Place UV Cathodes and prep for wiring
- Make accent Green LED Lighting for both Primary PSU
- Clean and prep CPU block

Hopefully I get alot of parts in the mail today so I can keep the ball rolling! smile.gif

I'm glad that they got rid of those gun shaped heatsinks. Guns don't dissipate heat! Radiators do! mad.gif, Gigabyte, mad.gif! They have great features nonetheless however.
