what about using delrin/acetal instead? It's black. Or even using the clear, but then a light roughing with sandpaper and prime/paint the outer part of it to your liking?

with the block having laminar flow, i bet it will perform the same as air cooling at the same noise level as air would. also with no kind of jet plate, the corners of the block will be dead spots in the blocks circulation.

New internals, only things left to do are the finish (break sharp edges, polish etc), cut up the O ring, and make a backplate

do full copper awnd get rid of that aluminum asap, not even worth " just trying it out first" because youll end up having to replace more than that block you made once it gets filled up.
