Game stutter problem in CS:GO

Hi everyone
smile.gif

So the problem is that when I'm shooting a enemy in CS:GO, the game stutters and it really messes up the mouse feel and recoil. There is no audio stutter tho.

My PC setup:
https://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/3314513/min-build

- MSI GeForce GTX 660 2048MB TwinFrozr III

- 1TB WD Black 7200rpm 64MB

- SSD 120GB Intel 330 Reseller 2.5

- Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4 GHz (Ivy Bridge)

- Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP

- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

- EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650, 650W 80+ Gold

- ASUS DVD±RW DRW-24B5ST SATA Retail

I use a BenQ XL2411T, a Sensei Raw at 500hz, 450dpi 6/11 Windows and mouse acc disabled.

I've had the prob for about 2 months, the solutions I tried is the following;

- Fresh Windows install

- Using only the drivers from MB - Driver CD

- Updating driver; RealTek, INF, Nvidia, LAN drivers etc

- Re-Installing the game, Verifying Game Cache

- Different video graphics settings

- Different mouse

- Tried enabling an disabling HPET in both BIOs and Windows

- Unplugging and removing the Graphics Card, and using the On-Board CPU one

- Unparked CPUs

- Checked Hard Drive Condion, it was 100% good

And 2 days ago, I bought a new motherboard: MSI Z77A-G41. And made a fresh install of Windows but the problem was still there. This problem is only in CS:GO and not apperant in any other places.

Nothing is overclocked, and temps are fine.

I built the computer in 2013, May with brand new parts.

Any help is warmly welcome and greatly appreciated, thanks!

/ King regards.

Try turning off multi core rendering (in CS:GO settings) and see if that helps.

Have you tried to put -threads 4 in the launch options?

Go into steam and right click on CSGO > Properties > Set Launch Options

Im usin 120hz for GO. I'll cap it and test if it changes anthing on a low populated server

What other FPS online games do you play? If they also stutter regardless of the IQ settings, then it's probably the connection itself on your end.

Here's how to put your rig in your sig:

Thank you

Well I only have CS:GO installed as I re-installed Win7 recently, but I have; BF3, CS:S and CS 1.6. I cant remember if those also had the problem, long time since I tested. I could download CS:S and see if its there also.

Are you sure that you are using the latest and unchanged version of cs go from steam? Make sure your peripherals drivers are up to date as well as all your hardware components drivers. Try running GO at 144hz which is your native monitor refresh rate, not at 140.

Don't cap FPS at anything less than 128 in CS:GO. There are lots of 128 tic servers and capping FPS at less than 128 on these server will cause you to lose data packets from the server. This will leave you at a disadvantage when playing.

I used to cap FPS at 144, but the game is just smoother playing with FPS capped at 300, which is the default setting. I just leave fps_max at 300 now.

It might be your network card or your router, or just bad Internet/ISP issues.

After reading this I just remembered I had similar problem. Anytime I would shoot an enemy in CSS my ping would spike to about 200-300 and chances are I'd either die instantly within that time or my victim would, it was also like the game would just freeze for a second.

Eventually my router died and had to be replaced and I haven't had the problem since then.

well good thing u got it solved

but my ping is fine, and the drivers I've installed is directly from MSI's site(http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z77A-G41.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7 64), + Newest Nvidia drivers (332.21).

Well, I guess I thought for a second that your issue was internet related so that's why I posted that.

After reading this thread it sounds like a nvidia problem but i could be wrong.

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/654888/stuttering-in-cs-go/

Doesn't have any solutions but don't worry, I'll keep looking.

Try to plug in directly to your cable or DSL modem, and bypass the router, if you can. This might point the finger at the router being the issue, or not the issue.

Personally I think the issue is with the last update or two to CSGO, my sound desyncs and I have a similar effect at times.

It is super apparent when you use the nova and fire as fast as you can.

Only other suggestion is try older GPU drivers.

Thank you guys, I just replaced my MSI G41 to Extreme4, and I noticed my SSD and HDD shared SATA cable, I thought it was fine since the cable has several connectors. I just plugged in another one, and I'm downloading the new Nvidia 334.89 driver and I'll go launch CS right after its done, Im hoping this was the problem

Ehm, is any1 here good with ASmedia drivers?

I downloaded the

Asmedia ASM1041/ASM1042/107x USB3 Controllers (Firmwares)

Version 130201 (ASM-104x)

But when I try to install it says its not compatible with the version of Windows im running.

Same for

Asmedia ASM 106x SATA Controller Sata6G (Firmware)

Version 0951 (N0951) (Ide/Ahci)

It's really confusing since i thought it was supposed to be compatible with all Windows versions. I have win7 64

Not sure what versions are the ones you mentioned, but here are the 64-bit W7 drivers for Asrock Z77 Extreme4 .
