Yeah, Daz is good about getting stuff in that the customers want.

I was planning to just use distilled water and some Mayhems dye. My question is , for corrosion protection, I planned to use some Feser Base corrosion inhibitor. I heard someone here say it has built in biocide, but I don't see this on the bottle or their website. Should I still add something like PT Nuke or Dead water ? Can I use Mayhem's biocide extreme mixed with Feser ? Would this cause any issues ?
I'm using Primo Advanced LRT tubing .

Thanks !

Fesser One Base Corrosion inhibitor is ethylene glycol, PT Nuke DeadWater and Mayhems Biocide Extreme is all CuSo4 or copper (II) Sulphate in non nerd speak.

Ethylene glycol and copper sulphate will cause MASSIVE gunking, do NOT use together. They're perfectly fine for a watercooling loop up until the point where they meet in the same loop, then stuff will hit the fan, or rather a thick gelatinous gunk will hit the fan.

This^ X1 is my go to coolant for any occasion. No performance drop, corrosion inhibitors, biocides, surfactants, everything a proper loop needs.

Hmmm, Dazmode used to have a really good stock from what I remember. if they have dyes you could always buy ice white and dye it ANY color you wanted...

Performance PCs are going to be stocking 1 Ltrs soon we have 3 Pallets ready to be shipped to them if thats any good. We are in talks with "other" manufacturers and resellers as well so soon you'll be seeing Mayhems in one form or another all over and it should be easier to get hold off.

I just purchased some of your coolant for my current XSPC 240ex kit. I am currently running distilled water and a few drops of Dead water. I bought the Mayhems X1 coolant concentrate UV deep purple concentrate from performance pc. I was wondering if it would be ok to drop a few drops into the res without having to drain the loop? I also have maybe 3 drops of the dead water in there as well. Sorry if it was answered on this thread but I did not catch it

So I got a little freaked out and ordered just a silver plug for my rad, white colored PRIMOCHILL LRT tubing, and was going to just distilled, as everyone says that is clearly the better option.

Is this a wise choice?

I was going to eBay the Mayhem's and just run colored tubing and distilled to save myself a headache...

I tried googling around and finding some information but can't really find anything really positive / negative about Mayhem's...

Thanks

There has been issues in the past with colours changing,Mayhems did say he has fixed those issues and I have seen no reports for a while to the contrary.

If it makes you feel any better,im a DI water guy,I dont use snake oil coolants but I did get some for my latest build.

The way to look at it is if it goes bad and you have to bin it,could you stomach losing the money? Mayhems has offered you a freebie so that is moot.

X1 concentrate isn't a liquid dye, it is a coolant concentrate. If you want to dye your current setup you need actual dye, but be advised CuSo4, i.e. I&H Deadwater, eats through UV effects like a Murican @ Thanksgiving. Mix the UV concentrate with distilled water @ 1750ml distilled water to 250ml X1 (The entire bottle) You should be able to get away with just draining the loop and refilling, X1 doesn't react with CuSo4 though it may lower the life of the UV but that can be remedied by simply adding more UV dye which is pretty cheap @ $10 for 15ml.

I have been using Mayhem's Pastel in my system for 1 1/2 years now with no issues at all. You should NOT add anything to your mixture other than the distilled water of course. All the protection you need is in the Mayhem bottle.

I am using Primochill Advanced tubing and just added the distilled water. Nothing wrong at all and it's been in use for a long time since this is my workstation. The advice you received is TOTALLY false and incorrect.

Best of luck

I have heard similar concerns about Mayhems and I wanted to run a green or white mixture in my latest build. It is outstanding that they are going to send you a sample, so please keep us informed.

I even opted for a "smoked" res as I figured I couldn't use Mayhems...now I'm just mad...mad.gif I'm thinking maybe I should send back and go with Primo LRT Clear and the Mayhems that I originally wanted...rolleyes.gif
