I have been hard limiting my voltage table entries to fine tune perf vs temp/volts for example my boost limit 1253 volt table #46 at 1.187. I am getting full boosts and proper downclocking whether I set a boost or a no-boost. What I want and getting to is the fastest stable base with boost if needed, but find its just easier to do a no-boost rom (which eliminates TDP btw)

Hello, I have two MSI GTX760s in SLI, at stock settings one boosts up to 1136MHz @ 1.2V and the other goes up to 1149MHz @ 1.187V.
Could you please set the power target to max, increase the voltage to 1.212V, set the memory clock at 3348MHz (a +350 increase on afterburner seems to set it at this frequency), and make it so that the cards boost to a max of 1241MHz? As I said, both cards boost differently right of the bat (same card model though, both MSI GTX760 Twin Frozr Gaming cards), so maybe two different bioses are required to get them at the same boost clock? No clue though, anything will be appreciated smile.gif

Both my cards are running this bios

I don't know how you did it, but somehow you managed to unlock 1.212V on my second card, which I couldn't get past 1.2 for the love of god tongue.gif
Thanks a lot man! You saved the day

Hello! I have an MSI GTX 980TI Gaming 6G. Bios is attached.

I tried modding my own bios but I could not get it to flash. I was trying to increase the power slider percentage from 109 to... anything higher in order to overcome the 65C throttle. I'm having huge problems with frametime because it's hitting 65C and the clocks drop. It won't run "wide-open" no matter what I do and I get huge stutter and lag as a result.

I'm really inexperienced here, so I was hoping I could get you to tweak my bios for me. I basically just want it to stop throttling at 65C. I'm not even here to OC, I just want my card to perform like it should. I can't play anything because smoothly because it throttles the clocks down as soon as the temp hits 65, which is not a long wait, at which point it becomes a stutter-fest.

I have no idea what settings you need to modify to do that but if you could take a crack at this for me, and either disable or tone down the thermal throttling so I can see what this card can really do I would utterly worship you.
These Maxwell cards have been so utterly disappointing because of this. mad.gif I feel like I actually downgraded going from a 770 to a 980ti because this thing underperforms so much. I would be so thankful if you could fix this for me, and so would my new 1440p monitor.

Thanks!

You're the best! Thank you! Flash went off without a hitch, power limit goes to 125 now, but it still seems to be doing some form of throttling, it typically won't go above 70c. I maxed the vlimit so do I need to adjust the sliders in the bios now?

Thanks again. Even though it's not perfect and stutter-free, it is SIGNIFICANTLY better now - in some cases, hundreds more FPS. You have already made a night and day difference, thank you so much. Frame time is typically rather low and it's able to maintain 16.7hz now almost without any spikes at all. It's like a whole new card. Thanks, you're a top bloke.

wink.gif. You don't need to touch any of the sliders part from Core and Memory clock. Everything else is maxed out.

Okay! Excellent. Does that include the power and core voltage slider as well, as in, should I leave those at their default settings and ONLY move the clocks?

Edit: I noticed that the settings revert when I move the sliders, so that answers that question.

Anyway, cool. Thanks again! You fixed Maxwell for me and now I don't have to jump ship and swim towards Pascal island. I owe you a beer or something!

Probably someone already know it, but there is an utility to disable the PowerMizer feature in the system, keeping your P00 state (maximum performance) always enable thumb.gif

NVPMManagerUni.zip 776k .zip file

PROCEDURE:

- click on Create PowerMizer Settings
- flag Enable PowerMizer Feature
- select Performance Level "Max. Perf / Min. PowerSave"
- click on Apply & Reboot
