XFX R9 270X cooling mods?

Has anyone had any experience with custom cooling on these cards? Are there any guides or links with compatable cooling?

The stock cooling is extremely loud and they still run extremely hot so I want to modify it but don't even know where to start really.

Thanks

Pick whatever suits your price/cooling/case.

I would slap on an NZXT Kraken G10 on that puppy and buy a used AIO!

Kraken G10

Click on the link and click on specs, the 270 and 270 x is part of the compatible card list. On a few reviews, they tried the same solution on a 290x and it lowered the temps by a big margin (of course it was also very silent compared to the stock coolers)!

The advantage of getting this is you can upgrade to either a 290, 290x or even a 780 or 780 ti and still use the bracket!

I was contemplating the Kraken route but I don't know where I would run a radiator and fan for it in my Carbide 400R.

Doesn' the carbide have a 120mm exhaust fan at the back. You can setup your 120mm AIO there.
