[Build Log] Little Devil V8 - Acrylic done! Leak testing! - Page 2

Since I've changed my initial layout and switched to acrylic tubing I can conclude I will need some manifolds.

This will be mounted on top of the premade holes for tubing. The 2 holes in the middle will be 1/4" thread.

Took my setup apart last week, so not too many updates since then.

Ive got to admit I really underestimated the skill it takes to bend acrylic. mad.gif

Well first some sleeving pics:

Then my block:

Finally got the acrylic to my satisfaction. Had to redo it a few times due to miscalculations and change of fittings.
Then I had a few leaks. Then i ran out of acrylic...

Conclusion:

Your cuts need to be 100% straigt. And the edges needs to be sanded just a little, not too muc.
Temperature to high: Bubbles
Temperature to low: white lines from strains
Bend to much: wrinkles
More than 2 bends on a short peice: Skill level required: Master
Measurements +/- 0.5mm divergence MAX!

Number of rage quits: A LOT! biggrin.gif

Now I´ve done 2 x 8 hour leak testing.

Because some of my pieces are longer than 400mm I need to design a small rack where both the longer pipes go trough,
to keep them from tilting due to length and weight.

So no gaming on my new rig just yet. Back to the drawing board!

Wow! That looks amazing so far. I've been wanting to tackle acrylic tubing as well. Just haven't had the funds to do so.

Looks great! That acrylic manifold is a nice touch thumb.gif

I hope to be bending acrylic for the first time on this new build i'm working on. I've already had plenty of rage quits from sleeving PSU cables with paracord so acrylic should be fun rolleyes.gif

Damn it loud... 7 Corsiar P120 2350 Fans make a lot of noise...

TO-DO-LIST:

Paint HD-Cage cover black
Install the final fans
Connect all fans to Controllers
Install XSPC temp probes and readouts
Cable management
Install DVD drive

I ran out of black sleeve....

The build is almost done. I just need to sleeve some 3 PIN extensions for the fan controller and cabeltie the rest together.
My fixture for the tubing will hopefully get done next week, so I dont have to worry about petential tiltiing.

So next weekend I plan on posting some final pictures.

Another annoying part is the airflow. My feet are in constant draft from the fans, even at semi low speeds.
I need to by some old-man slippers thumb.gif

I just did a prime 95 which 1.275 vcore and max temps at 4400 is about 60, with one core hitting 65...
