i would just get the one that would match your color scheme best, after all it's just for gaming....When i was looking for a board awhile back the giga was my first choice, then i decide to go 2011 socket....
The UD4H has a Red color scheme and the UD3H has a Blue color scheme. Both motherboards are quite the same, the UD4H only has a few extra things but not necessary.
I would go Gigabyte so you in my opinion you can pick either the UD3H or the UD4H by picking the color you like most
I wouldn't look into Hero and not even Z87-Pro...
An Asus Z87-A is all you need, even if you plan on more than decent overclocks. Would be my 1st choice unless ofc you would go for a different color scheme, when Gigabyte would be also a very safe bet.
Performance wise are all the same, and most of the features outside WiFi, Intel LAN NIC etc, are superfluous...most of the people buying those boards with more "staff", do it for epeen and the false feeling that more expensive has to be better / last longer etc. Very few really push things to need more power phases, or do big HDD arrays to need more SATA ports etc...
Save monies, invest in GPU. That's the most important in a gaming PC.
Nvidia don't do price drops too often,so dn't bank on that to happen....I personally have never used a wrist band when building, hopefully this will help....
HDD is up in the air. Some say WD Blue or Black, or Seagate Barracuda.
No a wristband isn't needed.
