No im genuinely curious to see how integrating konsole into every app can be considered a good way of going about things.

Also I want to see how KDEs locking screens and application launcher, is any different to what I got.

The tone of that post pretty much proves my point that you're not curious at all; you're just looking for things to troll about. rolleyes.gif

Like I said before, I don't ask that people like the same GUIs I like, I just ask that people use whatever they're personally comfortable with and stop trying to argue that preference is fact (like you are right now)

Don't you just love the apparent need to justify one's taste with the most inane details? "Chocolate is better than Strawberry, because hey, for starters it's a liar. It isn't a berry at all!"

Thread Starter
Just to provide an update, I've reinstalled Fedora 20 on my PC and am using KDE. Been like this since Monday, and things are pretty good with a little configuration. I still need to change some fonts around so stuff in Chrome looks better. I also have a strange issue where when I wake up my PC (well, the PC isn't asleep but the monitors go off), the screen is all garbled and I have to click around a few times before it looks right again.

From what I read, it looks to be related to video drivers, but I admit that I know nothing of drivers on Linux. Most of what I see seems to relate to Nvidia drivers, but I'm using the IGP (Intel HD xxxx). lastly, I find myself relying on Remmina a lot to get to my Win8 VM, but that dependency will fade over time, I'm sure.

Remove the nVidia driver while you're there remove the ATI driver too.
