You can also view EventViewer under System and Application and filter by Warning/Critical/Errors and see if any are showing up under those too sections.

Just a small note though, if you are having issues that could be a sign of an unstable system. A single video game is not proof that a system is 100% stable. Still, I hope it all works out for you though.

I got win 7 installed and I've copied about 78GB worth of games and such never once halted, switched to the 8.1 drive tried to copy a DVD rip and halted at 53% with 0Bytes/s so im done with 8.1 I'm just going to whip the drive and use it for storage glad i only paid 100 bucks for 8.1

I am really sorry to hear that but at least you are getting it copied now. thumb.gif

You did note that robocopy never hung though right? I am just asking for myself, because I am stuck with 8.1 Pro at home.

I had the same issue as OP, even with USB transfers from that drive. I think its just incompatable with Win 8. My SSD and V. Raptor are win 8 ready, so I went and got a WD black retail. Works as a great replacement. I'm going to use an eSATA cable to transfer my files from the old drive, since it does that, stop frequently.
