My 780 is at 1381 and i get triple digits when playing SA on max settings. >100fps most of the time. The fact that it says it only gets around 60-65 is kind of funny. I rarely go below 80fps in game and i always have the fps counter up. For the most part, i am seeing triple digits on the top right.

I dont really care what the results say, my CPU is OC'ed and so is my GPU. But the fact that someone blatantly said "you need 1600-1700mhz to match a 290x + mantle" is really hilarious. Here i am with an average 1350mhz overclock on a classy and im maintaing triple digit frames on max settings....

What a blanket statement to just say that there is no way a GK110 can catch up to a 290x + mantle. You serious? This is OCN, lots of people here are running their 780's at maximum overclock.

You can't even differentiate between NVIDIA Boost 2.0 clocks and normal user overclocks, the normal overclocking results at the overclocking page of the review, those (what I posted) were factory shipped clocks.

Please go and learn how Boost 2.0 works before arguing.

You provided factory overclocked cards set to operate higher in a discussion about specific clocks. Learn what an overclock is before arguing please.

benchmark is irrelevant there is no min fps, could be as bad as 15fps, there is a reason it is not listed also there is a reason this is done at stock cpu clocks

when reviewers are given things to review they are sometimes encouraged to do things to make out there is a big difference, to keep their sponsors happy & to gain views

we have seen it too many times when every card is released its put on a chart with a 836mhz titan

No.All those aftermarket cards show variance (from 950 to whatever they were set from factory-your links show that) just like stock cards. They just operate (and boost) higher than stock because they are overclocked.

This is getting tiring, so this will be my last reply. They all go above stock maximum boost clock, because you know, are factory overclocked .I never questioned the ability of top notch aftermarket air coolers to sustain mild (or even heavier for that matter) overclocks you know. And still, at certain workloads, they will drop frequency-it doesn't matter how rare it happens since this thread has a specific workload we discuss- BF4.Overclocked 780Tis here are as relevant as bringing up aftermarket R9 290X cards tuned sky-high that nevertheless stay below 95 C. Yes, reviews showed that eg. a Sapphire Tri-X can hold 1200Mhz. Who cares.

Boost 2.0 doesn't work that way.
1161 is what the mfr set and certified to run at below the TDP wall or the temp wall
IF you set it yourself then it will only throttle at the TDP wall and temp wall.

You people are fighting old wars. It will take some time for Mantle to be more wildly used. In less than a year we will have new top gpu's that will be 60-100% faster so getting 120 fps will be much easier and thus Mantle will be more important. But Nvida will have cards with ARM cores to speed up direcx. I can't imagine Microsoft would not improve direcx to make this possible.

 

Remember 750 ti Maxwell architecture  improvements 1.35(speed) X 1.2(density) , so in 2-3 years top card should be 1.5x faster that 780 Ti. CPU speed's don't increase that much any more:drool:.  

 

It is difficault to have this discusion when we don't know what amd next arcecture and what Nvidia's ARM cores will give.
