Wish they listed their user names on there, to make it easier to track them down.

These guys are making it more and more difficult to post on here and have a decent discussion.

When someone tries to argue 100mhz boost clock can make up for 30fps, there is nothing good that can come of it.

Although it's smooth as cheese on mine I still have to point out that I doubt it's really playable on anything under a R9 270X or 270/7870.

Wait. Mantle runs smooth on mine. Period.
What I'm saying is, save your money on the CPU and buy a R9 280x if you're not in the US of course. Foolish prices. It's your own people's fault it's gone up so high, USA.

And yes, BF4 needs a lot of VRAM.
"The obvious Nvidia justification from you, Nvidia Titan in sig rig and Nvidia Titan on avatar commenting on Mantle how it's "inefficient" earlier."

Unplayable at what settings and resolution?
At 900p with a 650ti, you should be fine at mid - high settings.

I said mantle was inefficient? I've posted 3 times on this thread about mantle being a good thing.

Yeah, have Titans on my PC on my sig and my avatar, so people can say I'm an Nvidia Fanboy. Just because I love my titans, doesn't mean that I don't want to keep up with newer technology from both grebe and red teams. I've built PCs and recommended a ton of hardware to people on different budgets.

Remember my 7870 and 8320 PC that you questioned I owned? I sold it to a good friend of mine that loves Battlefield.

For the gazillion time, the beef is not with mantle, but with bogus and skewed reviews out there. You seem to have trouble understanding things.

When 290x released, nothing but 4k reviews and highlights on the tests where it beat 780.

All of a sudden it's all about 1080 revues and performance? Come on dude open your eyes.

It wasn't just 100 MHZ that was brought up, but rather the overall methodology used, while only posting selective data.

Besides, nothing good can come from 1 person posting 67 times in 1 thread either.

It wasn't about the 100Mhz, or 5 Mhz, it was about the methods used!

Method, method, method, method.

If you have any flawed method in your testing, then the entire testing is invalidated! If you have any questionable data, or flawed data, the entire test is invalidated.

While everyone posted ignored the main factor. The cpu rolleyes.gif

It being invalid is your opinion. It results are true under circumstances like any other benchmark.

What CPU being used doesn't have ANY impact on the fact the "Reviewer" didn't show minimum frame rates for their Mantle run, amd that they obfuscated the frame rate in the Mantle run video several times

It is obvious though, there is no reasoning with you, you won't admit that the review itself is more than shady and should be dismissed. At this rate anyone speaking to you is just wasting their time and energy. I have made my points, I have backed them with irrefutable evidence. Have a good one, and enjoy the rest of your day.

From what i can get from the video( my german sucks) is that they mostly talking about IQ,stutter etc etc. Probably that video has little to do with the review results. But i dont know why they dont have the min fps

Also found this from the article
Quote:
Another bug relates to the phenomenon that Mantle often not properly "get going", the frame rates drop in this case very significantly below expectations. This case, we already noticed in a previous article. Here a reboot of the system.

One more note: The quoted values in the video do not reflect reality. It turned out at a post-test with the (actually slower) Reference-R9-290X that the fan control of the Gigabyte Windforce was impaired and therefore not even begin to the expected clock rates have been achieved. This was possibly caused by a bug of Catalyst used and not yet official 14.1 beta 1.7. The benchmarks have been completely remade with an AMD reference card.

About min fps:
Quote:
Maybe I've read it, but why is there at the Mantle bar no minimum bar?
This requires a further processing of the recorded data (anyway fiddly and time-consuming). I'm doing this but time on occasion, for that is at least Feels like a gigantic difference from DX. The values I have, of course, still, on occasion I make an update.

Someone already suggested that minimum fps was not included because most likely it would be zero.

Backed with what? Hear say?

I have looked at 3 different benchmarks from guru, anand and hardcop.

None of them included min fps.

AMD must be paying lots to every reviewer.

I could say a lot, but result in nothing other than ignorance. Suffice to say, 4K matters more to elucidate the graphics aperture's performance.
