I think from the start this is obvious. But whatever you know people will support anything that justify their bias.I think is just a review that they dont want to upset none.

Only from the fact that they had so many problems with the alpha drivers they shouldnt really publish this article

previous test was done with win7
This test was done with win8.1

I guess it makes sense then that Mantle doesn't show any improvements from the switch to Win 8.1, while DirectX does. Too bad they didn't include the AMD DirectX numbers.

There shouldnt be such a huge difference between windows 7 and windows 8.1. Amd and nvidia support all the major features of dx11.2 (DC).But frostbite doesnt use DC at all according to johan

Maybe the difference isn't DirectX, but something else under the hood like thread handling or something. Several sites (and member testing) have shown the 8.1 is faster in BF4 though, so I don't think that's in dispute.

Its a bit faster but nothing to make your gpu to get like 30-40 fps more. When i moved from windows 7 to windows 8.1 i just got better frame latency. Either way they should have amd dx numbers too

The test system is like getting a Core i7-4770K 4.6GHz 8 GiByte RAM and a 240 GB SSD. Even if Windows 7 with players getting even more popular and more widespread as the successor to Windows 8.1, we use the latter operating system as a base. Thanks to optimization of Direct X 11.1 benefit Geforce graphics cards there from a decent speed boost. Only then can Radeons with Mantle support and Nvidia cards reasonably fair comparison.
