Alright alright alright, that was my bad. You know I am a DirectX 11 fanboy.... I just made the mantle look bad....

Update pending to handle Battlefield 4 mistakes!

Also including graphing in this next update.

And I am drunk.

I'm running Catalyst 14.2 v1.3 beta... and whilst the stuttering from BF4 has gone, I experience worse average FPS compared to DX11... especially when the dust storm rolls in on Gulf of Oman... that thing is a killer. On average, DX11 performs 8fps or so better, which makes a difference. It's a shame, but perhaps it's because I have an older HD7970, not a new 2xx series.

3930k@4.5, 16GB 1866mhz, 2x R9 290 (default clocks 947/1250), 14.2 beta driver

2560x1440, Firestorm, 100% scale, FOV 75, ultra with MSAA off

Sample size was about 10 to 15 minutes each, First person view spectator, on a full 64 man server.

Mantle left / DX11 right

And "just a little" does not describe the 40%+ boost they got from the CPU OC and changing the OS
. And add to that the locked boost.
all of the gpu boost 2.0 cards are locked to minimum boost in these reviews. Titan is running at 876MHz. The 780Ti is clocked 6% higher, it's about 5% faster clock for clock. and the higher power limit might help a bit too. Add those together and the numbers are just about correct between the cards.

Of course once you OC these things the Titan OCs higher and all t at but for the frequencies they were running the differences make sense.
4960x + 780 SLI reaches 288% multicard efficiency in Crysis 3. We had better get the right hardware. rolleyes.gifThat is right: you don't need Mantle, terms and conditions may apply.

hmm might depend on game, but since star citizen i am looking for is a cryengine game the sli might look promissing. i guess we will have to get some benchmarks of SC with sli vs mantle smile.gif
