Got the X5650 in the mail yesterday and spent this evening running benchmarks on my current CPU (i7 930). Should have time tomorrow evening to install the Xeon and run the initial benchmarks. biggrin.gif

Alright, finally had some time this weekend to devote to OC'ing. Took me most of Sunday but I think I achieved a decent result: 4.0Ghz, 200mhz Bclock, 1.264v. I did get it up to 4.2Ghz, 220mhz bclock, 1.325v but it was running realllly hot, so I kicked it back down again. Again I am amazed at the benchmarks:

Definitely worth the small hit on the wallet isnt it? They can hit higher clocks but obviously youll need more cooling

Yea, I figured. I was able to get the bclock stable at 220Mhz, (x15 multiplier) but only 210 with a x20 multiplier. That being said, I'm curious if dropping the bclock and raising the multiplier allows for higher OC's than a lower multiplier and higher bclock. Also, my mobo has about 100 little OC related settings that I'm sure would also help, but I don't have the time or patience to learn them.
