Specific Laptop tray/slider--EDIT: DONE! "Custom" made "L-desk"

Purchased a new laptop and there's a space in my desk I'd like to put it. It's the space in the pics below right above my tower (where there are a few cables and my E07K is). I'd like something that slides out and I can use the laptop on my right side whenever I need it.

Does something like this exist or would I have to make it?

Anybody have any ideas for this? My laptop just sits on my desk, taking up space. I'd really like to add some sort of extensions or something, but I'm not sure how to go about it (either a slider or an extension). Here is a pic: http://www.imgur.com/YL5kePX.jpg

You could make a draw for it but the actual draw itself would just be a flat peice of wood or whatever? Definitely doable

But how would it slide out?

Kind of got a plan now. I'm going to purchase this: http://www.amazon.com/Keyboard-Slide-Extension-Steel-Set/dp/B00AHFRUHE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1394935361&sr=8-2&keywords=keyboard+slide

Basically make that huge black board a sliding one. What do you guys think?

Hey all, so I took the plunge and made my own!

Materials:

1. Black and Decker reciprocating saw (this scared the life out of me. I was scared I'd take a finger off. Couldn't find gloves so I just sucked it up and did it. I would HIGHLY recommend protective wear). I used the saw to cut off about an inch off of the length of my board so it can accommodate the sliding mechanism).

2. Sliding mechanism: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHFRUHE/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

3. Drill

4. Tool kit (mainly screwdriver).

If anybody has any questions about it, would be more than happy to answer them/help out!
