Input lag HELP PLS - Page 6

Stopwatch is the exact same,

and the lag is at the crt aswell. i can feel it. :// it can run 120hz aswell so....

Last time i used a crt was 2008, long before i built this comp.

Since then i used the max 75hz samsung lcd (***10ms****) screen from 2001, since going to lan was alot easier and i stopped playing fps games at the time, and got used to MOBA games, and i think you're partly right

That the old lcd has been bottlenecking, so i couldnt notice the inputlag before and maybe its always been there, but i know, I KNOW, that this inputlag isnt normal, since i inserted the new display into a friends comp, AND IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY, NO NOTICEBLE INPUTLAG, which makes me wonder.

I have switched every hardware component except the CPU, my DPC is at 20-40, it sometimes peaks to 60 sometimes.

This is making me insane, because it isnt the screen or the comp,. IT CAN ONLY BE CPU :SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Im so sad right now, ive seen on the forums here that there have been people with the same problems, that has never been solved.

offtopic:

wow, i was bored so i installed my old IBM C190 flatron crt just for the lulz to compare the feeling to benq xl2411t 144hz.
the c190 cant even make more than 100hz at my ingame resolution, but hell is that a freaking response... biggrin.gif
and its so super sharp when you do fast turns ingame compared to 144 hz tft.
i do really feel the need of a second DVI port at my next graphic card now :x

Too bad i cant say the same, there is literally no difference for me :/ the same inputlag on both, slow, fluid and unresponsive.

Thats the absolute minimum i can reach with my nvidia card, nvidia cards at the 600 series is atrociously bad with dpc latency because of the drivers, i cant get any lower with that graphics card.

UPDATE: Things ive tried :

- My old LCD and my new one beside one another, with stopwatch *same result*
- My old CRT and my new one beside one another with stopwatch *same result*
(and input lag is the same)

- HPET Both OFF or ON
- Set Timer Resolution to 0.5 ms
- Tested different RAM
- Tried with a new GPU (ATI *i returned it because it didnt help*)
- Tried every MOBO setting on my Shuttle (shuttle is pretty limited with settings)
- Switched MOBO to ASUS p8z77-v LX (didnt help)
- Followed r0ach's input lag suggestions (every one of them i could try, every combination)
- The input lag even resides in SAFEMODE and UEFI BIOS MODE
- i Tried using lower ress, which made it feel like it went away, but it didnt, i can still feel it.
- High DPI with the mouse
- Switched Mice from DA2k13 to IE3.0, no difference in input.
- Using USB 2.0 ports didnt help
- Having mouse only plugged in didnt help either.
- Bought a new DVI-D cable, didnt help.
- Tried many different VGA and DVI cables, didnt help.
- Switched HDD to an SSD, i tried having only SSD, incase the other HDD is messing with the comp somehow.
- 0 PowerSaving Settings havent changed anything at all.
- Tried running the RAM at LOW latencies and 333mhz lower bandwidh
- I tried switching IRQ signal with my GPU to MSI
- No scaling helps alittle, but the problem is still there
- The problem is there at all HZ MODES 60/100/120/144 hz.
- Reformatted to linux incase it was an OS problem, im back on windows now.
- I switched PSU from the shuttleone to a 650W CoolerMaster one.
- Even at native resolution with no scaling etc, (on both gpu's) the lag is still there
- Different drivers (that have worked fine before with my old screen)
- 1000hz and 500 hz have been used.
- 3D settings: Maximum Pre-Rendered frames 1 has always been tried, and i still use it.
- Mouse-Acc is completely gone with MarkC disable mouseacc etc, (yes i have tried without it aswell.)

* I have tried my SCREEN (BenQ xl2411t) on a friends computer, and it felt unreal, so responsive, so its NOT THE SCREEN GUYS biggrin.gif

My DPC latency is bouncing between 20-40, thats because of my current graphicscard gtx 650, so i cant use the older drivers.
!!HOW IT ALL STARTED!!

I bought a new screen the benq xl2411t and at the same day, i started noticing this input lag, overly slow, nonresponsive, smooooooth mouse.
It could be that my old screen (LCD from 2001) was hiding the inputlag all along, that i couldnt notice it before i got this one, but now i feel it everywhere.
Specs:
ASUS nVidia GTX 650 1GB
Intel i5 3570K 3,4 GHz
Corsair Vengence 16GB 1600Mhz CL9 '9-9-9-24' (Currently running 7-7-7-20)
ASUS P8Z77-V LX Socket LGA1155

BenQ xl2411t 144hz screen.
Razer Deathadder 2013 / Intellimouse 3.0
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
PS, the ONLY THING i havent messed with is the CPU !! DS.
I think im somewhat on to something, every problem ive seen on this forum that is very similar or exact to mine, all have the LGA1155 socket, as far as i have found out, i have seen about 4-5 threads where someone that had a benq xl2420t or 11t and has the inputlag that i describe "overly smooth and slow" and they all have the i5 2500k or 3570k, or the LGA 1155, which, I DONT KNOW, IS KINDA WIERD.

all you can do is limit pre-rendered frames to 1, and make sure you get as many fps as you can, the higher the fps, the higher the chance you will get a frame after you moved the mouse in the next sync of the monitor. I know that competitive players in fps usually want at least 150fps.
Also try to get 500\1000hz from your mouse, the default 125hz is actually 1 full frame time of delay on a 120\144hz monitor ...
BTW on win 8.1 you need some windows update and registery changes to get 500\1000hz and cancel the "built-in" 5ms delay, on games that doesn't use direct mouse input (and desktop).

As usual i didnt remember everything ive done, its such a long list.

Im running windows 7 64bit

1000 hz and 500 hz have been tried.

Prerendered frames at 1 has been done aswell.

those are the things ive alredy done, except the "built in 5 ms regristry change with mouse" what exactly are you refeering to? MarkC disable mouse acc?

And about the fps, im always above 200 fps on the games i play. Im assuming you're talking about rawinput, i have tried with it, but it isnt helping.
